It’s time to move forward with the application process. Scheduling K1 Visa interview in Abu Dhabi Embassy is straightforward. The Embassy will reach out to you when you are ready to schedule your interview appointment. Do not attempt to schedule your appointment before then or you run the risk of rejection on the interview day.
We have completed our draft DS-160 form and re-checked it multiple times while we were waiting for the instruction from the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi that we can set an appointment for the interview. We have reviewed it over and over to see if we were not missing any details so our filing would be smooth and quick. We were so happy when we received the email from the embassy and immediately do the appointment to secure our slot.
The email includes:
- Panel Physician List – this includes lists of accredited clinics by the embassy.
- Information on how to make the interview appointment – provides website/links, how and where to schedule the interview.
- Required Documents – list of documents to provide during the interview.
- Security Information – provide lists of items not allowed inside the embassy
It is imperative to have the email from the Abu Dhabi Embassy before scheduling an interview. They will reject the interview if no email is received prior.
Step by Step process:
- Create an account by registering on this link – https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ae/iv

- Choose the appropriate condition that applies to you. In this case, choose option two (2) for K Visa then click continue.

- Tick the box to acknowledge that instruction to make an appointment. Then click continue.

- Sign up page will appear. Fill in the details required. Tick the boxes and click “Create account”. There will be a link sent to your registered email for account activation. Follow the instructions.

- Then the page will go to the next screen wherein all the important details need to be filled in along with the DS160 case number. All details should match with the DS160 form.

- Payment of the fee – USD 265.00 – We have paid using credit card. The amount will be converted in your local currency once paid. It is AED 1,080.00 in dirhams.
- Selecting date – choose the first open date available. Make sure to select whatever date is available just to secure the slot. The date can be rescheduled later. What we did was we kept checking the website every day to see if there are slots open earlier than our scheduled date. I am not sure if system maintenance was an indicator that they would open slots because one day, when I checked the website in the morning, the system was down. I checked it again sometime earlier in the afternoon that day and I found an available date one month earlier than my original interview date. I immediately booked it then right away scheduled my medical exam.
- Choosing the post office where to send visa documents. It is free when you want to pick it up directly, but you have an additional extra payment if you want it to be delivered.
- The confirmation email will be sent to the email address that will be the official proof of the appointment. The same email needs to be presented when doing a medical examination.
The next instructions are typically easy to follow. The fee needs to be paid through the link provided then the interview can be scheduled based on the availability of the date/slot.
